Dickinson sued Gwinnett's estate to recover an unpaid debt, which included a year's rent of a house and land. The collection consists of a petition, signed by Dickinson's attorney David Rees, for the court to order Lyman Hall, Gwinnett's executor, to appear in court; a subpoena for Hall, with the jury's finding for the plaintiff and Hall's signed acknowledgement on the verso; an attested copy of the bill due Dickinson from the estate; and Rees's formal statement of the settlement and Hall's release.
